SHADHAVAR (8) went forward and proved too strong when resuming last time out, scoring by 2. 25 lengths over 6f at Murray Bridge. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. ARKANSAW KID (1) sat on the pace to the turn then tired in the run home last start, beaten 4. 5 lengths into seventh over 7f in the G1 Waikato Sprint at Te Rapa. Change of rider to Luke Currie who has never been out of the money in four rides, including a win. Leading contender. RUE DE ROYALE (6) showed good early speed last start before boxing on well and finishing second, beaten half a length, over this trip at Flemington. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. DIRTY GRIN (4) was allowed to drift back from a wide draw last time before finding the line strongly to score by half a length over 6f at Flemington. Has a formidable record at this journey with five wins and three placings from 11 starts and is a key contender.
