NICISH (8) turned in an eye-catching run over this journey last time, settling out the back before winding up late to finish 1. 1 lengths away in fourth at Oakbank. Sure to prove tough to hold out. IMAMANZOR (13) improved sharply on his seventh two starts back at Ballarat with a win over 7f at Oakbank a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 1. 75 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is capable of another big run. INEXORABLE (1) has switched yards since finishing sixth four weeks ago over 1m at Bairnsdale. One of the genuine hopes in the race. SYNCHRO (9) returned from a lay-off last start with a modest fifth over 6f at Morphettville, beaten 2 lengths. Has a very strong record at this course with three wins from six starts. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Should give backers a sight.
