JOE PHILLIPS (4) made progress last time out, finishing 4 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 5½f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. RESCUE FIVE (2) was in the money two starts back at this track but couldn't back it up last time when sixth, beaten 4. 5 lengths, at this track (Dirt) over 5f. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. LIFE IS HARD (7) is an imported seven-year-old having his first run in this area for the Julie Mathes stable. Finished off last campaign with sixth over 6½f at Woodbine five months ago. Not seen at the trials but a bold showing expected. LOST IN MANHATTAN (5) was in contention on the corner and finished third last time over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 4 lengths. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish.
