CLASSY CLARET (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m1 1/2f at Oakbank, beaten 2. 25 lengths. Nicely placed to find winning ways. THE HIGHLANDER (5) missed the frame when resuming last start over 1m2 1/4f at Strathalbyn but wasn't all that far from the winner. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be tough to hold out. GOOCHEE GAL (6) was never in contention when 7 lengths from the winner in tenth over 1m2 1/4f at Strathalbyn last start, a less impressive effort than her fourth at Clare the run before. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. BOCHEEVA (1) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at Oakbank over 1m1 1/2f.
