MERCANTILIST (5) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 6f at Gosford two-and-a-half weeks ago. Sure to improve and can make it back-to-back wins. PIPERITA (2) accounted for a maiden field over 6½f at Wyong last start when fresh from a break. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. CHANNELLING (3) broke her maiden last start over 7f at Kembla Grange, scoring by a head. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. This is tougher but she cannot be underestimated.
