ADMIRE ASTRA (13) was well fancied on debut last start and was not far off the mark, finishing second and beaten one length over 6½f at this track. Open to improvement and looks a serious contender. HERAULT (9) closed off strongly last start to get up for second, beaten 1. 3 lengths, over 5½f at this track when fresh from a lay-off. Can measure up. PRINCE OF BONDI (1) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when sixth, beaten 4. 5 lengths, over 6f at Kalgoorlie. Goes up a rung or two but he is worth another chance. CORSO VENEZIA (14) finished 4. 5 lengths away in seventh after being in the firing line on the bend at her last appearance over 7f at Ascot on October 18. Well placed on this occasion and is a likely improver.
