MIDNIGHT AFFAIR (7) travelled in a rearwards position then made a little ground and finished 3. 5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1m1/4f at Moruya two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Right in the mix. TAVIJEWEL (9) is backing up seven days after finishing third over 1m3f at Dubbo. Strong run last time and should feature. PRO VELOCITY (5) met with solid support last time out but could only manage to finish fifth over 1m3f at Beaumont (Newcastle) in a disappointing performance. Best figures measure up nicely.
