OBVIOUS (1) closed last campaign with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at Flemington four months ago. Can pick up where he left off. CAFE AU LAIT (10) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just 0. 8 lengths from the winner in second over 6f at this track after being prominent at the bend. Meeting a tougher field but on her best form she is right in contention. CHILLIES (3) drifted back then closed strongly to score on debut over 1m at Cranbourne four-and-a-half months ago and has not raced since. Has since been kept ticking over with a Cranbourne trial. Sure to play a major role. MAHERS LANDING (5) is back from a lay-off of five months. Closed last prep with a fourth, beaten 8 lengths, over 1m at Caulfield. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Key contender.
