THE STORYTELLER (3) followed an unplaced effort when resuming two runs back with a second last start over 1m4 1/2f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. MOZU MARCASSIN (6) was in contention on the corner and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m2 1/4f at Ballarat after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Must raise the bar but he has the talent to test this line-up. THE VOCALIST (5) scored a dominant victory at Cranbourne over 1m4 3/4f at his latest appearance on January 17. One to consider. MADAME LEXIS (8) was below her best last time, finishing ninth and beaten 6 lengths over 1m4 1/2f at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
