CHECKITUP (1) recorded another minor placing last time out, finishing 4.5 lengths away in second over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt) when he was in the firing line all the way. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. HEY RIVER (5) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 20 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 1m at Timonium. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. MENDELSFLY (6) was in the firing line on the corner and finished third last start over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt), beaten 5 lengths. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish. DOS DE OROS (4) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6½f at this track, beaten 10 lengths. Looks to be in the right race so another bold effort is on the cards.
