METALLIC CAT (6) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 5½f at Warwick Farm when second, beaten a neck. Will benefit from that experience so she will prove tough to beat. LONTRICE (2) showed ability at his only start back on November 14 when third over 6¼f at Canterbury. Sure to have improved over the break and another bold showing is on the cards. COSMIC EAGLE (8) drifted back last time but wound up nicely to finish just half a length away in second over 6½f at Canberra. Strong run last time and should feature in the finish. SUPERATA (1) dropped out from the rails draw before closing late to finish fourth over 6½f at Canberra last start. Can play a role in the finish.
