CHAPARRAL CHASE (7) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fifth, beaten 3. 5 lengths, over 7¾f at Mackay. Likely to measure up. OUR TURN NOW (1) was in the money two starts back at Townsville but was unable to repeat the effort last time when ninth, beaten 6 lengths, at this track over 6f. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. LIMERO (2) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 29 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Finds an easier assignment and can find the winner's circle. LEASE (3) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 6f at this track. Looks to be in the right race so he should be in contention again.
