    Race Analysis

PALMETTO (7) went fast early over 1m2f in the LR Canberra Cup last time and defied all challengers to score by a nose. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he cannot be underestimated. REDSTONE WELL (9) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing third last time out over 1m2f in the LR Canberra Cup. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves plenty of thought. When resuming over 1m in the g1 verry elleegant (chipping norton) stakes at randwick, beaten 7 lengths. This is his optimum trip with two wins from four starts and is sure to be thereabouts. GEAR UP (8) resumed last time out and finished fourth over 1m2f at Canberra, beaten 0.8 lengths. One of the better chances.
