COSMONOVA (8) sat on the pace to the turn then tired in the run home last start, beaten 4 lengths into tenth over 6f in the G3 Birthday Card Stakes at this track. Well placed and is among the leading players. WELL TIMED (3) finished 12th when resuming two runs back then progressed nicely last time out after being in contention on the corner to score by a nose over 6f at Kembla Grange. Steps up a level but he is good enough to cope. AKAYSHA (9) is back from a break of 12 weeks. Raced below par at her only appearance last prep when fifth over 5½f in The Sunlight at Gold Coast. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
