FIRST PLAYER (4) is racing well without being able to break through, the latest effort a second over 1m at Oaklawn Park (Dirt) eight weeks ago. Yet to break through at this journey but has been in the money at all four starts so a well-deserved win is on the cards. START MO UP (8) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when seventh, beaten 11 lengths, over 1m1/4f at Gulfstream Park (Synthetic) after he travelled towards the rear of the field. Should be peaking now and can find peak form this time. SCHIFTY'S HALOID (2) produced a reasonable effort when second last start after being in contention on the turn over 1m1/4f at this track, beaten a nose. That followed a win at Remington Park the start prior. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot make amends. BOURBON CURIOSITY (1) lines up for the first time since October 27. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5½f at Horseshoe Indianapolis. Worth plenty of thought.
