    ALERO (1) went forward last start and gave a great sight when second over 7f at Caulfield. Will be looking to cross and steady the tempo. Has a win and two minor placings at this journey from four starts and is sure to play a big role. FLOWERDALE (15) hit the frame two starts ago at Sandown-Hillside but ran below par last time when ninth and beaten 12 lengths over 7f at Geelong. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is good enough to turn things around. DOLLAR CHASER (7) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 7f at Geelong after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Worth noting Jamie Mott goes aboard. Steps up a level but he is good enough to take this out. LOUIS BARTHAS (11) is a last-start winner two-and-a-half weeks ago, scoring by a long neck over 7f at Bendigo. Key player.
