JAGUAR JON (3) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish a nose away in second over 5½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. ARABIAN FLIRT (6) finished fifth two runs back at Del Mar (Dirt) then improved last time out to score by one length as public elect after being prominent at the bend over 6f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to cope. FAR WESTERN (1) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Del Mar, beaten 5 lengths. Strips fitter and can make amends. RECALL AND RELOAD (2) is a promising galloper who won at his only run last prep three years ago over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Is yet to beaten when resuming from two starts. This looks a nice way to kick off the prep.
