Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. SPIRITED KING (12) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well when returning from a break last time at Yass, finishing third and only one length from the winner at the end of 6f. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task. RAGER (9) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 7f at Towong. Jessica Brookes stays aboard. Sure to be competitive. PERUNO (2) turned in a better run last start, beaten 2 lengths into fourth over 6f at Moruya. Finds a nice race and can atone.
