Capable of sharp improvement and can get off the mark. THE CONTRACTOR (1) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 6½f at Dubbo. Will take some beating. PINOT NERO (11) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f87yards at Muswellbrook, beaten 2.2.5 lengths. Fitter this time. Hard to beat in this suitable race. BILLABONG ALVIN (3) was in the firing line on the corner and finished third last time over 6½f at Narromine, beaten one length. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again.
