Should be poised just off the lead. Among the leading chances. DESIROUS (7) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when seventh over 4½f at Newcastle after she was prominent at the turn. Has never been out of the placings at the third run in and can find peak form this time. NAVY STEEL (1) returns from a layoff of five months. Scored over 5f at Wellington at the start of last prep.
