ATHENA'S TREASURE (5) closed last prep ten months ago when she finished seventh over 6f at Beaumont (Newcastle). Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Among the leading chances. LILY BOBTAIL (7) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest at this track over 4½f. Has managed three minor placings from four runs at this circuit. Likely to play a role in the finish. LA NARRADORA (4) is a four-year-old mare who is having her first run for the Stirling Osland barn. Finished off last campaign with a fifth at Ballarat Synthetic four months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks nicely placed. Shapes as a top-three chance.
