CRYPTIC BEAUTY (10) is a locally trained maiden galloper resuming. After a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a seventh over 5f at Eagle Farm, beaten 4 lengths. Fitter for a placing in a recent trial. Great chance to break through. JUCASI (1) was prominent at the turn and finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5½f at this track, beaten a long neck. Must raise the bar but a big run will not surprise. SHANIDAR (18) is back after a break of five months. At the last run before the layoff she finished fourth over 6¾f at Doomben. Has trialled very well leading into this. Solid top-three hope.
