FLASHLIGHT (1) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a second over 1m3f at Ararat when beaten 2. 5 lengths. Should be prominent from the outset. Leading contender. DEALT (2) has been in the market at her last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing sixth over 1m4f at Kembla Grange. Top-three chance on best figures. GIFT OF ORATORY (5) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time when tenth, beaten 8 lengths, at Echuca over 1m2 1/2f. Open to improvement and should be about the money.
