HEDONIST (3) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when 14th, beaten 6 lengths, over 6f at Flemington after he travelled towards the rear of the field. Should be peaking now and is expected to feature in the finish. RAIN LORD (2) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5f at Bendigo, beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth. Has the talent to take care of this field. DIMORA QUEEN (4) scored at her most recent appearance, getting home by 1.5 lengths over 6f at Kilmore as favourite. That continued the solid form this campaign, with three wins and three minor placings from seven outings. Expect a bold showing. XUANFENG (8) started at 9/2 last time but could only manage sixth, beaten 7 lengths, at Naracoorte over 5½f. Measures up nicely on best figures and has the blinkers removed. Worth keeping safe.
