    ALERO (3) progressed nicely last time out to finish just a long neck from the winner in second over 7f at Caulfield after being in contention on the bend. Beautifully placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. RAIKOKE (1) showed good early speed when resuming last start before fading to finish fifth over 6f in the Vobis Gold Sprint at Caulfield. Improvement to come and the addition of blinkers is a positive sign. SALSA FELLOW (2) finished out of the money two starts back then he settled well back and was beaten 1. 5 lengths when sixth over 5½f at Flemington two weeks ago. The engagement of Mitchell Aitken is a positive move. This is a nice drop in grade so he is a major player. BEDOURIE (7) was beaten 3. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
