Steps up a level but he is capable of another big run. DESERT PUNK (4) was a winner over 5½f at this track (Dirt) last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by 0. 1 lengths. Miguel A Perez stays aboard. Leading contender. WATTS (7) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 6 lengths when eighth in a 6½f contest at this track three weeks ago after being prominent at the corner. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. SHAME ON SAM (8) was never in contention when resuming last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt), finishing eighth and beaten 11 lengths. Fitter and the blinkers come off. Expected to run well.
