GOING NUCLEAR (4) did a good job last start to finish second at Cairns over 7f, beaten 1.3 lengths. Reunites with Olivia Kendal who has three wins from five rides. Best form puts him right in this. BLAZERRO (8) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Mackay. Less impressive last time out when fourth over 7½f at Cairns, beaten 4 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Faces an easier assignment so he can make amends. STRATHCONA (7) missed the placings two starts back when resuming then ran a better race and finished 1.5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 7f65yards at Home Hill. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the key runners. SOLAR APEX (2) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish sixth over 1m2 1/2f at Cairns. Worth including.
