NOVELA (10) delivered a nice performance last start when second over 6f at this track after he was up on the pace all the way. Record at this trip excellent. Ideally placed to take this out. TYMON (7) finished third at this track two runs back but was less effective last time over 7f at Cairns, finishing 12 lengths back in sixth. Yet to miss the placings from nine starts at this track. Worth noting Olivia Kendal goes aboard. This is a nice drop in grade so he is one of the main contenders. BETTER BE SLICK (2) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Cairns with a win as favourite over 6¼f at Cairns two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by a neck. Faces an easier assignment so he is a major player. HYDE PARK (4) had been in great form winning two on end before missing the frame last time when fourth over 7f at this track.
