Beautifully placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. RIVOLI STAR (7) ran well despite being friendless in betting last time over 6½f at Armidale, finishing fourth and beaten 1. 1 lengths at 25/1. Among the leading hopes. STEEL RAIN (4) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 8 lengths away in tenth over 7f122yards at Port Macquarie. Well placed to turn things around.
