MISSION BEACH (1) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the J P Silva stable. Hasn't raced since finishing fourth at Santa Anita (Dirt) ten months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks well placed. Can return in winning form. DIAMOND RIM (5) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Listed level at this track (Dirt) with a win as favourite over 6f at this track (Dirt) two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 0. 3 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. POP D'ORO (8) was last at the races when he finished third over 6f in Listed grade at this track (Dirt) on April 24. Has a terrific record here with six wins and two placings from eight starts. Among the better hopes. DESPERATE MAN (3) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just 0. 8 lengths from the winner in second over 5½f at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects.
