Big class drop this time. Sure to run well. GRAND EMPIRE (10) built on a nice second two starts back in the G2 Gauteng Guineas at this track with a win over 1m1f in the G1 SA Classic at this track four weeks ago, getting home by a nose. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to figure in the finish. TRUST (11) narrowly missed last time when second last start in the G1 SA Classic at this track but starting to prove costly. Rates well and gets chance to break through. FIRE ATTACK (3) lifted strongly to score by a head two runs back at Group 3 level at this track then finished fourth over 1m in the G1 Horse Chestnut Stakes at this track last time in tougher grade. Has a solid record at this circuit. Can sneak into the finish.
