MENKAURE (2) was too good for a maiden field last start over 6½f at this track (Synthetic), scoring by half a length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Re-unites with Walter A Rodriguez who was on board last start. Sure to prove tough to beat again with that win now under her belt. BOLT DIOR (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she got a long way back over 1m at this track, beaten 10 lengths into seventh. This doesn't look as hard so she is a major player. VALALA (3) fresh from a lay-off of 12 weeks – the last when resuming run was a second at Saratoga (Dirt) over 5½f. With a new stable now and tackling a synthetic track for the first time. Should be forward enough to run very well. BEARA PENINSULA (7) showed good speed to stalk the pace before drawing clear to score by half a length over 1m here last time out. Can figure in the finish again.
