MAX THE MAGICIAN (2) finished fourth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m at Turffontein Standside, beaten 2. 5 lengths. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. SECRET CHORD (4) is in fine form and hasn't missed the frame in his past eight starts. Last time out he finished second over 7f81yards at Vaal. Should measure up again. IT'S PERSONAL (8) is back at the races for the first time since October 11. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5f at this track. Worth plenty of thought. MISTER WILSON (7) won at Vaal two starts ago but was below his best at a more recent appearance, finishing fifth over 6f at Vaal. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
