SOUTHERN DANCER (9) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when sixth, beaten 3. 5 lengths, over 1m at Albury after she was in contention on the corner. Has further improvement to come and looks set to find best form. SEA STRIKE (7) was comfortably accounted for when seventh last time out over 1m2f at Wangaratta, beaten 6 lengths. That followed a win at Kyneton at the previous outing. Won't find this as tough so he can play a big role. COSMIC LAD (3) worked home well and finished a long neck from the winner in fourth last start over 1m at Kembla Grange, an improvement on his sixth at Kembla Grange the run before. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. GATCHAN (6) wasn't far away in her two starts prior to sub-par ninth last time out over 1m2f in the LR Canberra Cup. Sure to do much better.
