ALLA RUSTICA (4) raced once in the maiden campaign when eighth at Bendigo over 6½f back on October 5. Better for the run and can improve sharply. BUTTERCUP (9) wound up strongly at the end of 7f at Terang last time out, finishing 0. 8 lengths away in second. Has a good association with Linda Meech with a run of three top-three results. Among the leading chances. Zercardy (8) finished 2. 5 lengths from the winner in third on debut last start over 5½f at Ararat. Sure to take a lot from that hitout so he is a strong chance. NORENSON (6) is a three-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 6 lengths when sixth over 6f at Naracoorte. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat.
