DIMITROV (10) finished 3 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 7f at Goulburn, an improvement on his fifth at Canterbury the run before. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. THE REPLICANT (9) progressed nicely last time out when he did his best work late to finish just 1.3 lengths from the winner in third over 7f at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. MALABAR (4) is a distance specialist who was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths into fourth after being prominent at the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. FRONTEX (7) was well supported when resuming last time out over 6¼f at Newcastle and proved too strong, scoring by 1.3 lengths. Will be better for that latest run and appeals as a solid top-three hope.
