TUSCANY (8) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 5½f at Hawkesbury. Can measure up. FREDDIE BASSETT (1) resuming after four-and-a-half months break and was in the money at only start before another lay-off. Sure to be improved by recent trials and should be in the mix fresh. PORTOFINO (9) was never in contention when 7 lengths from the winner in ninth over 6½f at Rosehill last start, a less impressive effort than his sixth on debut at Rosehill the run before. Finds a more suitable contest and can take this out.
