LUCKY ARTIE (4) started at 8/15 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 4. 5 lengths at Gatton over 5½f. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. CHAMPAGNE TOWER (9) is still a maiden after 12 starts. Managed to find the placings at Ipswich two starts back before finishing fourth over 7f at Dalby last start. Cannot be left out of calculations. WHAT DID YOU SAY (8) could only manage fifth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 7f at Dalby, beaten only 0. 7 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects. BATE (1) returns from a short break after finishing fifth over 6f at Ipswich seven-and-a-half weeks ago. Kept up to the mark with a recent Gatton trial placing. One of the likely contenders.
