    Expensive purchase MONTEVETRO (2) had been gelded before making debut at Chelmsford seventeen days ago. Warrants thought as could improve from that initial outing and looks hard to oppose. ROYAL STANDARD (3) was well held debuting at Sandown Park while only 4L fourth at Yarmouth in September. Could improve as a three year old and rates highly. STEPANOV (4) disappointed when favourite at Newcastle before Christmas finishing a down field sixth. Needs to be better here and is best watched. CRIBBINS (1) has not offered a huge amount of immediate promise. Will be much better suited to handicaps in the future.
