AMERICAN WOMEN (3) finished sixth when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found one better over 1m1/2f at this track, beaten only one length after being in contention on the turn. Nicely placed to take this out. SNATCHED (5) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when sixth, beaten 6 lengths, over 7f at this track. Nicely placed to take this out. TAQUANYAH (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she got a long way back over 7f at this track, beaten 4 lengths into fourth. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. WEEHAWKEN (1) has not won for a long while. Last raced on July 26 when beaten 4 lengths into fifth at this track over 6½f after she gave away a big start. Placed to advantage so expect a bold run.
