GAMBLER (2) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 5f at Kembla Grange, beaten only one length after being in the firing line on the corner. Worth noting Tommy Berry goes aboard. Nicely placed to take this out. FIERCE (3) is back from a lay-off of five months. Won on debut at the only appearance last prep, scoring in a 5f contest at Hawkesbury by a nose. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. A bold showing is expected.
