BLUE SUEDE HOOVES (1) was in a rearwards position on the turn last time out before finishing 3. 5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 6f at Gosford. This looks a nice race so expect him to be right in the finish. MAGIC IRIS (5) is back after a break of five months. At the last run before the layoff she finished 11th over 6½f at Hawkesbury. No surprise if she was able to get off the mark. THE NETBALL QUEEN (8) did a good job last start to finish second at Gosford over 5½f, beaten 1. 1 lengths. Should be at her peak now. Hard to beat. NORDIC STAR (6) returns after eight months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a seventh over 6f at Newcastle. Ran sixth in a recent trial at Beaumont (Newcastle). Has ability and must be included in calculations.
